A New system of Voting In US elections
After Hillary Rodham Clinon's didn't win the electoral vote and won the popular vote by almost 3 million votes,many have questioned the validity of the electoral college.But there are other things that shoud change.The whole primary voting system should be scrapped.In the US presidential elections candidates are chosen by primaries first and then those who win the primaries get to be nominated by the party.And these nominees contest the elections ,and the person who wins the electoral college votes wins the election.The primaries elect a person who is likely to mobilise people,win an election rather than who will make a great president.Although both qualities can be present in a person many are good in only one thing.Hillary Clinton,Albert Gore can make great presidents,they are not good in mobilising people to vote for them as per the electoral college,Although Hillary won the popular vote by 3 million,she lost the electoral vote which is a outdated, old system of the mid 1...
